What do these qualification cover?

This award gives the learner an understanding of the theory and practice of periodic inspection, testing and condition reporting, of both existing single and three phase electrical installations.

The qualification follows BS 7671 and the industry recognised IET Guidance Note 3, as well as the Electrical Safety Council’s ‘Best Practice Guides’.

The Award gives an opportunity for individuals to develop and/or enhance their knowledge and skills in the periodic inspection and testing of single and three phase electrical installations.

It has one unit covering safe isolation, condition reporting requirements, periodic inspection, testing, interpreting test results and condition reporting documents.

EAL Level 3 Award in the Periodic Inspection, Testing and Condition Reporting of Electrical Installations

1 on-screen exam ( open book), consisting of 35 questions.

2 centre marked practical assessments consisting of:

Periodic Inspection

Periodic Inspection and Testing.

Course Cost: £820

Attendance:        1 day per week for 6 weeks

                           or 2 evenings per week for 6 weeks.
